DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 9, 2015) Matt McMurry entered the 2015 Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda season as the senior driver on the reigning Lites 1 championship team, JDC Motorsports. He has a full season of experience in the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) Development Series under his belt, including spending the second half of 2014 with powerhouse JDC. He earned his first career Prototype Lites victory in the penultimate round of the 2014 season, in October at Road Atlanta.

TORONTO, ONTARIO (June 18, 2015) - Driver development is a primary focus of the Mazda Road to Indy, and the ladder series' competitors were provided with ample opportunity to learn during this past weekend's trip north to the Honda Indy Toronto. An extremely challenging track was made even more difficult with changing weather conditions, pushing JDC MotorSports drivers Kyle Connery and Parker Thompson to expand their skill set and base of experience.
BOWMANVILLE, Ontario (July 11, 2015) - Clark Toppe paced a JDC Motorsports tour de force Sunday at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, leading a sweep of the podium by the dominant Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda team with his second victory of the season. Toppe, from The Woodlands, Texas, drove his No. 10 JDC Motorsports entry to a 7.131-second victory over teammate and series points leader Kenton Koch. Matt McMurry finished third for JDC Motorsports, the runaway leader in the Lites 1 Team Championship of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) Development Series.
BOWMANVILLE, Ontario (July 11, 2015) Whether in the United States or Canada, the winning beat goes on for Kenton Koch. Koch earned his sixth victory in seven starts this season, capturing Round 7 of the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda series at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Series rookie Koch, from Glendora, California, expanded his lead in the Lites 1 championship to 32 points over second place Clark Toppe.

United SportsCar Championship TOTAL Pole Award, leading Friday's Prototype
Challenge (PC) qualifying session at Lime Rock Park. Simpson led the red
flag-interrupted session with a lap of 49.055 seconds (108.172 mph) in the
No. 85 UndergroundCellar.com ORECA FLM09. Qualifying produced a pair of
South African pole winners, with Paul Miller Racing Audi driver Dion von
Moltke fastest in the GT Daytona (GTD) class. Canadian
Mikhail Goikhberg will co-drive with Simpson for the Minnesota-based team
owned by John Church and John Miller in the two-hour, 40-minute race which
takes the green flag at 3:15 p.m. ET on Saturday.

on the track. Koch picked up his eighth win of the season, a .964-second
victory over Robert Alon, in
Round 10 of the championship at Road America to continue to stretch his points lead.
LEXINGTON, OHIO (August 11, 2015) - There was lots to smile about under the JDC MotorSports tent last weekend (July 30-August 1) during the Mazda Road to Indy event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The team welcomed back their Pro Mazda drivers Michael Johnson, who was returning to race for the first time since his hard wreck at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in March.
While Johnson focused on getting back up to speed, working muscles he hadn't in over a month, the squad's USF2000 driver Parker Thompson put in a stellar performance in the three series events that were on the docket at Mid-Ohio, posting a trio of top-five finishes. Johnson's Pro Mazda teammate Kyle Connery did not have any luck go his way, and he had a first lap off in Race 1 and was hit by another driver in Race 2. Thompson's weekend was all about recovering from a tough streak of bad luck in Toronto, where he ran into trouble in the wet weather main events. The 17-year-old from Red Deer, Alberta has shown consistency throughout the season and he has developed his skills extensively, and they were on display at Mid-Ohio.

(Aug. 29, 2015) With podium finishes in Rounds 11 and 12 on Saturday, Aug. 29 at VIRginia International Raceway, Kenton Koch clinched the 2015 Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda championship and John Falb captured the Lites 1 Masters championship for the second straight year.

(Aug. 24, 2015) Kenton Koch could clinch the Lites 1 Drivers Championship in the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda during Rounds 11 and 12 on Aug. 28-29 at VIRginia International Raceway. Koch, from Glendora, California, leads the standings by 54 points over JDC Motorsports teammate Clark Toppe with four rounds remaining in the season.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (September
9, 2015) - Leading junior formula open wheel squad JDC MotorSports will
cap off their season of Mazda Road to Indy competition this weekend (September
11-13) at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, and they'll
have a full paddock of five drivers for this event, which will be waged
at a facility that is considered to be Mazda's spiritual home. Vero Beach,
Florida's Kyle Connery will lead a three-driver attack on the Pro Mazda
Championship, as he will be joined by Flint, Michigan's Michael Johnson,
who returned to the track after contact with the wall at the season opener
in St. Petersburg, Florida. Las Vegas, Nevada's Parker Nicklin reunites
with the team after eight starts during the first half of the schedule.
In the USF2000 ranks, stellar Canadian rookie Parker Thompson will have
a teammate this weekend, as Cooper Tires Prototype Lites driver Robert Alon
will make his series debut.
"We're all excited about the season finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and we're focused on making sure we provide our drivers with the equipment and support they need to finish the season on a high note," offered JDC MotorSports Team Principal John Church.
BRASELTON, Ga. (Oct. 1, 2015) The 2015 victory counter has ticked into the double digits for Kenton Koch. Koch, 21, from Glendora, California, won Round 13 of the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Road Atlanta in the No. 60 JDC Motorsports entry. He started from the pole and beat teammate Matt McMurry to the finish by 4.871 seconds.

(Oct. 2, 2015) American paralyzed racing driver Michael Johnson announced today at a press conference at Road Atlanta, on his 23rd birthday, his switch to sports car racing for the upcoming 2016 season. Johnson, the first and only paralyzed driver to be licensed by INDYCAR®, will now compete in the International Motor Sports Association's (IMSA) "Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge" (CTSC), with 31-year-old English driver and driving coach Stephen Simpson as his co-driver.

(January 31, 2016) JDC-Miller Motorsports scored a breakthrough for its
first Prototype Challenge (PC) victory, dominating the class in the No.
85 Hi-Tide Boat Lifts/Red Line Oil ORECA FLM09 shared by Chris Miller, Misha
Goikhberg, Stephen Simpson and Kenton Koch.
The Prototype Challenge
(PC)-leading 85 Miller Motorsports team survived a scare at the 15-hour-mark
when Kenton Koch spun in Turn 6 on cold tires and impacted a barrier while
leading the class by 19 laps. The team lost 10 laps making repairs.
"Cold tires and a tired head," Koch said of the incident. "It was a mistake and I felt terrible about it. I've never driven so slow in my life to make it the finish line. We were pretty far ahead, so we played it safe and made it to the end."
The PC-winning car
featured the two most recent winners of the IMSA Mazda Prototype Lites presented
by Cooper Tires. Koch is the defending series champion, with Goikhberg winning
the 2014 title. "It obviously feels amazing," Goikhberg said.
"We were fourth here last year, so we missed it, and watching other
people celebrate didn't sit well with us, so we were very happy to be in
the winner's circle this year. "
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.
(Feb. 3, 2016) - There was one common thread besides trophies, champagne
and fatigue among the top two Prototype Challenge teams standing on the
podium after the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan. 31.
At least one driver from the first- and second-place finishers raced in
the Mazda Prototype Lites Presented by Cooper Tires for at least one of
the last two seasons.

SAVAGE, MINNESOTA (April 20, 2016) - JDC MotorSports is pleased to confirm that Mexican pilot Jorge Cevallos will steer the team's white and blue #21 for the remainder of the 2016 Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires.
Cevallos made his series debut at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in March and turned in a strong effort to post finishes of seventh and ninth.
Cevallos tested with
the team recently at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Illinois, in preparation
for this coming weekend's event at Barber Motorsports Park, and he and the
team are both excited to get back on-track. Jorge is a very unique competitor
in the Pro Mazda paddock, having battled back from an Ulcerative Colitis
diagnosis in 2014 to re-focus on his burgeoning racing career. While the
recovery process continues with a focus on conditioning, the 21-year-old
has resumed his racing career and expects his performance to improve all

(June 04, 2016) Maturday's Chevrolet Sports Car Classic at Detroit's Belle Isle saw JDC-Miller Motorsports salvage valuable championship points after a remarkable rebuild and teamwork from within the Prototype Challenge field. An accident in warmup for the team's No. 85 Oreca FLM09 of Misha Goikhberg resulted in left-front tub damage to the car, and looked to put the Minnesota-based team, which entered the weekend tied for the championship lead, out of action. Despite the odds, the team wasn't about to give in, and went to work at finding a way to make the grid, according to co-owner John Church.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN. (July 11, 2016) Minneapolis, MN based JDC-Miller MotorSports with South African Stephen Simpson and Russian/Canadian teammate Misha Goikhberg drove a stellar race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, as the team led most of the way through round seven of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Prototype Challenge class leading 105 of the 123 laps.
Simpson who qualified 3rd took the lead at the start and never looked back driving the majority of the 2hours 45 minutes race before handing over the car to team Goikhberg for the final 20 minutes.

Versteeg, from Sandy, Utah, earned his fifth victory of the 2016 Mazda Prototype Lites Presented by Cooper Tires season in the No. 7 JDC Motorsports entry. He beat teammate Clark Toppe by 1.441 seconds.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN. (Aug. 10, 2016) Minneapolis, MN based JDC MotorSports, the winningest team in the current Mazda Prototype Lites Presented by Cooper Tires championship, together with partner and customer Gerry Kraut has placed an order for a an Onroak-built Ligier JS P3. The decision came quickly after IMSA's announcement on Friday August 5th to add LMP3 cars to the newly renamed 2017 IMSA Prototype Challenge powered by Mazda series in the new PC1 class.
LMP3 machinery will
remain with the ACO's global-spec Nissan-based V8 engine, although unbranded,
with Mazda's MZR engine continuing to power the current Elan DP02 cars,
which will compete in the PC2 class category beginning next year.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN. (Aug.
14, 2016) Clark Toppe inched closer to the Lites 1 Driver Championship lead
with a clean sweep of the two Mazda Prototype Lites Presented by Cooper
Tires rounds at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières.
Toppe, from The Woodlands, Texas, shaved Austin Versteeg's championship point lead to a mere two points with victories in Rounds 8 and 9 on the 10-turn, 1.5207-mile (2.433 km) temporary street circuit.
The two wins in the No. 10 JDC Motorsports machine bring Toppe to within 154-152 with five rounds to go. The wins also extended an impressive streak for Minnesota-based JDC Motorsports. The team has won 27 consecutive Prototype Lites races dating back to August 2014.

22, 2016) Current Prototype Challenge entrant JDC-Miller MotorSports announced
it will add a Prototype class program in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar
Championship in 2017 with an ORECA 07 LMP2 car, as part of its current IMSA
Team co-owner John
Church confirmed today that the Minneapolis-based squad will be on the grid
with a 2017-spec ORECA 07 Gibson-powered LMP2 car in 2017.
BRASELTON, Ga. (Sept. 30, 2016) - Clark Toppe and Austin Versteeg never were separated by more than fractions of a second all season, so it's fitting the Mazda Prototype Lites Presented by Cooper Tires championship was decided between them by the thinnest margin.
Toppe, 19, from The Woodlands, Texas, won the Lites 1 title by one point, 238-237, after a second-place finish Friday in Round 16 at Road Atlanta in the No. 10 JDC Motorsports entry.
Versteeg, 17, from
Sandy, Utah, earned his ninth victory of the season in the No. 7 JDC Motorsports
car, beating Toppe to the finish by 10.336 seconds in the 45-minute race.
But it wasn't enough to overcome his fellow teenage teammate in the standings.

(December 27, 2016) JDC-Miller MotorSports today confirmed their driver lineup for the upcoming "Roar Before the Rolex 24" test and Rolex 24 at Daytona race in January with Swiss WEC and ELMS ace Mathias Beche joining JDC-Miller regulars Misha Goikhberg, Chris Miller and Stephen Simpson.
Goikhberg, Miller and Simpson were part of the lineup that secured the team's 2016 Rolex 24 at Daytona win in the Prototype Challenge class. They reunite to campaign a new ORECA 07 Gibson LMP2 fulltime in the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech Championship.
Goikhberg and full season teammate Simpson also won the 2016 Long Beach Grand Prix and finished 3rd in the overall IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Prototype Challenge class driver championship.
